The Graves Golf Academy (GGA) 3 day school is set up in an outdoor classroom-like setting. About 1/3 of your time will be spent watching Todd and Tim demonstrating and teaching proper single axis (Moe Norman) swing techniques and the other 2/3 will be spent hitting balls under supervision. At each school, each participant will receive a student learning manual, personalized video instruction with Todd, optional club fitting, video instruction via email to review at home, and lunch each day with the GGA staff in which many personal stories of time spent with Moe will be shared.
Our 3 day schools are conducted across the nation. See our Academy Locations page for details about each location. A 4:1 Student to Instructor ratio is maintained at each school.

What students are saying about the GGA 3 day school:
I have most volumes of the 7 principles series of DVDs. I have practically every video the Graves Golf Academy has produced. I have the original LOBG set. etc. etc. The Bottom Line is this:
NOTHING, I REPEAT, NOTHING COMPARES TO ATTENDING A GRAVES GOLF SCHOOL IN-PERSON. NOTHING. PERIOD.
To prospective students: The school is first-class all the way. Excellent teaching stations and an exceptional golf course coupled with great service and attention to detail. This instruction is highly personalized, VERY one-on-one, and extremely consistent. It didn't matter if Todd, Tim, or Jared looked at my swing - they all saw the same basic flaws (I guess it was pretty obvious!) and each of them recommended the exact same starting point for me to improve. And the patience was incredible. I literally had Todd stand behind me and place my club, hands, etc. in the correct positions for 20 minutes straight so I could get the proper 'feeling' of where to put the club. And then both Tim and Jared personally assisted in the drill necessary to begin 'grooving' that move. Which brings an interesting point to light: I assure you, what you 'feel' you are doing in the golf swing versus what you are actually doing are two completely different things. And the fastest way to bridge the gap between 'feeling' the right thing and actually 'doing' the right thing is to attend a school and see these guys in-person. Further - be sure to do all 3 days. Or a 5 day if you can swing it. I went to all 3 days of the school in CT and I will again next year.
Before I attended the school, my game could be summed up as follows: All full shots were weak fades. Distance off the tee was my biggest challenge. And every time I played or practiced, I would be trying another 'magic bullet' fix. I did not head to the course or to the practice tee without attempting to change at least 1, if not 5, things. Each and every time. Sound familiar?
This is my experience since attending the school: I only hit a fade when I want one. Otherwise, I hit straight or with a slight draw. Distance off the tee has improved dramatically. I actually hit a drive 3 weeks after the school (on a 462 yard par 4) that went 303 yards - and it was directly behind the 150 yard stake in the center of the fairway. This from a guy who struggled for 200 yards off the tee. Further, when I go to the course or to the practice tee, I only ever work on one thing. And I know if I work on that one thing long enough, I will be one major step closer to my ultimate goal of scratch golf.
To Todd, Tim, Jared, Brent et al, thank you. It has been, and will continue to be, a great learning experience and the best value in golf today.
To all prospective students, do it. It is the best money you'll spend on golf, without question.
My wife and I just returned from a 3-day school in Orlando. I must say that it was a fabulous experience. I have attended several schools in the past and this was by far the best. Todd ands Tim have refined there teaching metods to a point that even a slow learner like me can not help but inprove. I have also attened a couple of conventional golf schools in the past and Graves golf Academy is absolutly the best. They give you all that you need to learn to play the game. If you do not it is not their fault. You will get the methods and drills to make you the golfer you wish to be. all you have to do is supply the effort.
I thought the golf school was great, and will definitely return for more teaching in the future. If anyone is considering going to meet with these guys in person, I strongly encourage it. I can't describe how much easier it was for me to get the concepts when a live person was showing me and moving my hands, arms etc. than just watching a video and trying to teach myself. I still can't believe what my swing looked like on video. I thought I had it down perfectly and then saw for myself what I actually looked like.
The instruction was great. Todd and Tim were constantly available to give us improvement tips and reinforcement. Seeing my swing on the video side by side with Moe was awesome. Even better after Todd made several adjustments in my set up and then seeing the better result on the screen. Of course I play it over and over for reinforcement.
What was equally important for me, was the fitting process that Tim conducted with me. Checking out my equipment for fit, etc. One of the great outcomes was the realization that the Natural Golf grips I had installed on all my clubs were wrong for me. Not only were the grips too large for my hands, but also they were not allowing me to release the club properly. Changing to the right size grips has made a huge improvement in my iron play. I am hitting them further and right on line.
The short game instruction that Tim provided was just great. I learned so much and I am already seeing significant improvement in that area of my game.
Finally, just this past Sunday played a round at 77 on a 6500 yard course. 12 of 14 fairways hit, 55% of greens in regulation and when I missed was right around the green. Made over 50% U/D's. 3 birds.
I urge everyone that wants to understand more about Moe's swing and the total game to get into a school.
I really enjoyed the school. I left with a ton of great information that I look forward to putting to use. The stories were great too! (All) the instruction was excellent. I felt like everyone wanted to make sure that I was grasping what was being taught - helpful one on one tips. The video tape session at the end was awesome - As they say, pictures don't lie.
For the first time in a long time I feel like I have an understanding of what is going on in my golf swing. Todd's video tape session was very helpful in truly understanding what the single axis swing looks and feels like. Tim's help with my short game is already paying off. Also, I finally understand what it means to practice with a purpose.
Looks like my attendance at the February 2005 training course in Orlando is paying off. I scored an 86 last week. My goal was to break 100 which I now do on a regular basis.
